Kandath Tharavad was first constructed in the year 1794 by the great-great grandfather of Bhagwaldas, Mr. Kuppavelan, who was a major landowner in old Cochin. It acted as the ancestral home for the legendary Kandath family. Situated right in the middle of lush rice paddies rural Kerala, the two-hundred year old building showcases elegance of traditional rural Kerala architecture.

There are only four guest rooms in Tharavad. All the rooms are very secluded and hence are ideal for honeymooners. The rooms are fully air-conditioned. All luxurious facilities are made available in these rooms. The tiled floors painted in elegant colors provide a luxurious setting to stay in.

The hotel staff ensures one gets the authentic taste of Kerala food on a stay in this heritage hotel of Cochin.
