Itinerary

The Medieval Heritage of India tour begins with your arrival at the Delhi airport. Get assistance by our representative, for a transfer to one of our listed hotels. Check-in at the heritage hotel. The day is free of schedules, but you can invest time exploring, shopping, dining or having as tastes of the pulsating nightlife of Delhi. Enjoy a comfortable night stay at the hotel.

Start the day with delicious breakfast. Later, embark on a tour of Delhi. The city of cities has a number of amazing sights. In the tour cover attractions like Birla Mandir, Qutub Minar, Laxmi Narayan Temple, Red Fort, India Gate, Jama Masjid, Humayun's Tomb, and the President's House. In the evening, revisit the Red Fort to witness an impressive light and sound show. Learn about historic tales via the medium of colorful lights and poignant melodies. Return to the hotel.

Overnight stay at the luxury heritage hotel of Delhi.

Start the day early with a delicious breakfast. After you are done, pack your bags and check-out of your hotel. You will be transferred to Delhi Airport to board a flight to Varanasi. When you get to the holy city on the banks of River Ganges, you will be assisted with check-in at one of our listed hotels. Rest for a while.

In the afternoon, proceed for a visit to Sarnath. The buried Buddhist city has a great number of historic and incredible structures. Pay a visit to the Stupa, Buddhist temple and the Museum. After you are done lunch, get ready to enjoy a city tour of Varanasi. The sights covered with include Bharat Mata temple, Tulsi Manas temple and the Alamgir temple. In the evening, you have the option of exploring Banaras Hindu University for its Art Gallery and the mosque of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. Do attend the holy Ganga Aarti, a spectacular worship of the holy river.

Wake up at dawn, before the sun rises to leave for a boat ride on River Ganges during dawn. The boat ride is amazing as you enjoy the serenity of the river and the views of the city. Return to the hotel for breakfast and check-out, before leaving for Khajuraho. As you arrive to Khajuraho, check-in at one of our listed hotels.

After resting for a while, embark on a guided tour of Khajuraho. First visit the group of famous Chandela dynasty temples known worldwide for their spectacular erotic sculptures and carvings. Later walk through the Western Group of temples, dedicated to Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu includes Kandariya Mahadeva temple, Matangeshwar temple, Lakshmana temple, and the Varaha temple. After a wonderful of marvelous sightseeing, return to the hotel.

Today post breakfast, leave for Gwalior. En route, stop at Orchha. The beautiful old city nestled along River Betwa is amazing to explore. Visit Jehangiri Mahal, Raj Mahal and the Laxminarayan temple here. These sites are well-known for impressive frescoes and mural paintings. After the visit, continue driving to Gwalior.

On your arrival, check-in at one of our listed hotels. After resting for a while, step out for sightseeing. Pay a quick visit to Gwalior fort, Sas-Bahu temples and the Archaeological Museum.

Day 6, as soon as you are done with breakfast, check out of the hotel. Proceed to a sightseeing tour of Gwalior. There are many historic tourist attractions scheduled for the day. Cover the Memorial of Tansen, Suraj Kund, and Gujari Mahal. Later in the day, pay a visit to the Scindia Museum and the newly built Sun Temple. In the evening, you will be driven straight to Shivpuri. On reaching the town, you will be assisted with check-in at the hotel for dinner and a comfortable stay.

Day 7 of your tour begins with sumptuous breakfast in the hotel. Later, embark on a sightseeing tour of Shivpuri, covering Chhatri, Panihar, Bhadaiya Kund, Madhav Vilas Palace and the George Castle. Get back to the luxury hotel for lunch. In the afternoon, proceed to the Madhav National Park for jeep or elephant safari. The former hunting grounds of the royal family of Gwalior is now a popular wildlife reserve. Some inhabitants of the national park are antelope, blue-bull, chinkara, tiger, leopard and chital. After the exciting day, get some rest.

Today, after breakfast, check-out of the hotel and proceed towards the holy city of Ujjain. One among the seven sacred cities of the Hindus, the town located on the banks of the holy Kshipra River is the revered site of the Lord Shiva. On reaching, you will be assisted with check-in at one of our listed hotels. Take rest for a while after which explore some tourist attractions of Ujjain that include Bhartrihari Caves, Kaliadeh Palace, Gomti Kund and the Bade Ganeshji Ka Mandir. Pumped up with spiritual bliss, return to the hotel in the evening for dinner.

Start the day with breakfast, after which you embark on a sightseeing tour of Ujjain. Pay a visit to the sacred Mahakaleshwar temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas in India, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Here attend the Bhasm Aarti, which is one of the most important rituals of this temple, a symbolic representation of death and life. Later, visit the Navagraha Mandir and the Patal Bhairav temple. In the evening return to the hotel for a sumptuous dinner.

Day 10 is scheduled for a visit to the beauteous Mandu, the town of the eternal love story of Baz Bahadur and Rani Roopmati. On you arrival, you will be assisted with check-in at one of our listed hotels. Get rest for a while. Later, proceed for a sightseeing tour. The first stop of your visit is, the Tomb of Mandu, a beautiful specimen of Afghan architecture. The other attractions of Mandu that you must cover include canals, old baths and crafted pavilions. Later in the day, check-out some impressive tourist sites like, Alamgir, Bhangi, Ram Pol Darwaza, Jehangir Gate and Tarapur Gate.

Day 11 of the Medieval Heritage India starts in one of the most beautiful historic towns in India, Mandu. Have a lavish breakfast, after which embark on a sightseeing tour of Mandu. The popular sights on today's schedule include Ashrafi Mahal, Hindola Mahal, Jahaz Mahal and the Baz Bahadur's Palace. In the evening visit the Roopmati's Pavilion. This scenic sight is the testament of the fabled love story of Rani Roopmati and Baz Bahadur. Later return to the hotel.

Day 12 includes a visit to Bhopal. Known as the City of Lakes, the historic town in Central India is known for its various natural as well as artificial lakes. On arrival in the town, get accommodated at one of our listed hotels. After resting and relaxing for a while in your hotel room, set out on a sightseeing tour of Bhopal. The major tourist sites include Upper Lake, Shahpura Lake, Sair Sapata, Kalika Mandir, and the Van Vihar National Park. Boating in the Upper Lake, the largest artificial lake in Asia is surely a fond memory of the tour.

Today, after you are done with breakfast leave by road for Sanchi. Here you will visit Sanchi stupas. These stupas magnificent structures, treasures of the medieval heritage of India. Later in the day, pay a visit to Ashoka Pillar, Buddhist Vihar, Sanchi Museum and the Gupta Temple. In the evening drive back to Bhopal.

Today check-out of the hotel after breakfast and leave for Pachmarhi. On the way, stop for a quick visit to the pre-historic Bhimbetka caves. There are over 500 caves, adorned in vivid and detailed paintings which depict the life of the earliest human dwellers. Later, proceed with your drive to Pachmarhi.

On reaching the 'Queen of Satpura', check-in at one of our listed hotels. Enjoy the comforts of your hotel or take a leisurely walk to explore the local area.

Wake up to the bliss of Pachmarhi. After you are done with breakfast, move out to explore Pachmarhi. The popular tourist retreat is surrounded by beautiful forests, breathtaking waterfalls and serene pools. Later, pay a visit to the Rajat Pratap waterfall. In the evening, proceed for a visit to Dhupgarh, the highest point in the Satpura range to witness the mesmerizing sunset. Return to your hotel for dinner.

Start the day with breakfast, after which you will begin a drive to Jabalpur. On arrival, check-in at one of our listed hotels. After a short rest, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Jabalpur. After a sumptuous breakfast, you will be assisted with transfer to Jabalpur railway station. Spend the night on a train to Mumbai.

Today, after you are done with breakfast, embark on a guided tour to Mumbai. The major attractions included are, the Prince of Wales Museum, Marine Drive, Parliament House and Jain Temple. End the tour with a lavish Indian dinner.

Later, you will be assisted with transfer to the Mumbai airport to board a flight for onward destination.
