History:
Located on the Janpath, the Imperial, New Delhi is a magnificent structure in the heart of the Indian capital which has preserved a vintage flavor and charm in its walls. Conceived by Blomfield, the renowned architect, The Imperial was designed in the year 1934 and finally inaugurated by Lord Willingdon in 1936. One of New Delhi’s famous hotels, the Imperial has surely made its mark in the hospitality business in Asia.
Built by S.B.S. Ranjit Singh, the Imperial has a rich and glorious history. It was Lady Willingdon who gave the name ‘Imperial’ to this hotel for its majestic and regal presence. She also conferred the lion insignia on the Hotel.
The perfect blend of Victorian décor with an Art Deco look it recreates the charm of the British era. From sprawling greenery, landscaped lawns and swimming pools, The Imperial, New Delhi is the ideal comfort hub of tourists.

Accommodation:
The Imperial, New Delhi has two separate wings; Heritage wing and the Art Deco wing. The Heritage rooms have a classic vintage aura and are adorned with wooden armoires of Victorian style, Persian rugs and lithographs by the Daniell brothers. The Art Deco suites have a contemporary look which has a combination of wood and leather and are furnished with light fabrics.
