Itinerary

The Best of Kerala with Spice Tour starts with your arrival in Cochin airport or railway station. You will be welcomed by our representative who will escort you to one of the listed hotels. Check in to your rooms and freshen up. Rest for a while after which you will proceed for a sightseeing tour.

The day's sights include The 'Paradesi' synagogue or the Mattancherry Synagogue, one of the oldest in the world. It was built in 1568 and reflects the traditional style of architecture and interiors. Next, head to the Mattancherry Palace also known as the Dutch Palace, which was commissioned by the Portuguese but renovated by the Dutch. In the evening, set out to see the famous Chinese fishing nets. Dipping in the waters lining up the harbour, it's a spectacular sight.

Star the day with a delicious breakfast. After you are full, pack your bags and check out of the hotel. Start off for Munnar by road, which is roughly a 3-hour journey. This beautiful hill town snuggled in the lap of lush and misty Western Ghats is one of the most romantic places in India. As you approach Munnar, you will be greeted with view of lush tea plantations. They cover the entire slope of the hills and are quite a soothing sight. Check into the hotel and freshen up. You are at leisure to explore the town of Munnar.

Wake up to the fresh mountain bliss of Munnar. Have a quick breakfast after which you check out of the hotel. You will proceed to Periyar by road. Home to India's premier wildlife sanctuary, it is the land of wilderness and untamed wildlife. One can easily spot tigers, elephants and exotic birds here. On your arrival, check in at the hotel. Relax for a while after which you can leave for a guided tour to visit the spice plantations in the afternoon. The spices of Kerala are a very important part of its heritage. Wake up to the calls of nature. Leave for an early boat ride at the Lake Periyar. A boat safari on will give you an opportunity to spot the exotic wild species inhabiting the lands. Jungle walks, border hiking, jungle night patrol, bamboo rafting are some other pursuits of the blessed environs.

Relax in the comfy lodgings. Later, go for boat ride on the backwaters. Spot rare birds here, pass by scenic villages and savour the bliss of the green ethereal world.

Start the day early. Today you will board the Kettuvallam, the House boat for a cruise on the backwaters. Today morning you will arrive to Alleppey. Check out of the houseboat and proceed towards Kovalam by road. On arrival in the serene beach town, check into a resort. The day is free for leisure. Spend time sunbathing or frolicking in the water. There are three scenic beaches, a great number of eateries offering the fresh seafood. Also, there are a number of Ayurveda centres where you can get invigorated by massages and therapies.
